Altered Giant Jigsaw Puzzle Piece Swap

I have finally finished my puzzle pieces for a swap with the girls on Paper Artists Online.
They started as kids puzzle pieces (huge size floor jigsaw puzzle pieces). I gessoed them, painted them pink, then gessoed again over that to lighten the pink. Then I stamped all over the pieces with a Stampin Up stamp. Painted the Tim Holtz die cut bird cages and birds, then went over them with Ranger crackle paint.
I then grabbed some Tim Holtz baubles and some wire and hung the baubles on the wire and attached through the small holes at the bottom of the bird cages.
Picked out some nice lace, glued that all down, put the bird in cage and attached the cage with tiny 3d popups, slightly rounding the cage to give a 3d effect so that they sat out from the puzzle.
The flowers were white prima flowers that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist and there you have it 🙂
